Rev. Fr. Johnson Michael Kallidukil MSFS was born on April 18, 1966, in Venappara, Calicut, Kerala, India, where he was also raised. He made his First Profession on December 15, 1985, in Visakhapatnam, and later took his Perpetual Profession on December 8, 1991, in Bangalore. He was ordained a priest on April 21, 1994, in Venappara, India. He belongs to the East Africa Province.

He earned a Doctorate in Theology (Canon Law) from the University of Wuerzburg, Germany, in 2002. Fr. Johnson has held several important appointments and responsibilities within the Congregation, including serving as the Formator of Aspirancy in Lububu, Tanzania from 1994 to 1998, Director of the Pre-novitiate in Kibaha from 2002 to 2004, Rector of the Scholasticate in Morogoro from 2004 to 2009, and Director of Fransalian Communications in Morogoro from 2004 to 2009. He was also the Chief and founding editor of Out of Africa from 2004 to 2007.

Fr. Johnson was appointed Assistant General from March 2, 2023, to February 1, 2025, and was elected Superior General on February 2, 2025 at XXI General Chapter-2025.
